~ I Wish I Knew What My Dreams Meant ~
When you wake from a dream, are you totally baffled?
Does your dream seem like a garbled, crazy mess or just plain stupid?
Do you ever feel afraid of what it might portend?
Dream interpretation is nothing new. Ancient Egyptians considered dreams to be divine predictors, messages from the gods. Dream messages were used to foretell good news, warn of misfortune, choose where to build temples, and when to wage war. Most indigenous peoples used dreams as guidance. Only "modern" man has come to discount our dreams.

Dreams are messages your soul sends to help you navigate your waking life. Since our souls don't have bodies and use telepathy to communicate, language is different than how humans normally do it. Spirit uses the symbols and events already present in our human brains and lives in order to communicate with us. Souls send us pure energy packets of messages which our conscious brain then translates into common human symbols, ie dream scenes. It's a little like using Egyptian hieroglyphics as opposed to English words, symbols are used instead of words and they are actually quite meaningful when translated into our own language. It is up to the individual to interpret those symbols into something that makes sense to them.
When we lay down "to sleep, perchance to dream" (Hamlet), another world opens up. It's a world full of symbols and metaphors that often makes no sense to our waking self - when seen on only a superficial level. Though this may seem like a convoluted way for spirit to pass on messages, we can understand them if we take the time to do so and sometimes, getting an objective perspective will help with that.
Everyone dreams. However, some of us don't remember our dreams at all, some of us remember short bursts just as we awake, and others remember long, detailed adventures. Or we do all of that, at different times. We're all different in how we dream and what we remember, but there is no doubt that this other world can be very helpful to our waking life. Dreams are useful tools if we understand what we are being shown.
I find dreams to be simply amazing and can be categorized in many different ways depending on the source. Each dream conveys something to us:
-We can take comfort or experience joy.
-We can be given a heads-up of undesirable potentials. potentials which we are very capable of manifesting unless we make changes.
-We can have a wonderful visit from those who have left physical life.
-We can be offered congratulated on our journey by our soul self for our progress.
-We can be given a more expanded view of what is happening so we can recognize there is more going on than what we are aware of in the big picture of life.
-We can be given a neutral observation from our soul, in other words, a heads-up to highlight what we are not noticing, positive or not, a "hey, this is what is going on in case you missed it" type of message.
-We might even have a shared vision with another dreamer!
-We can release toxic emotions or memories which we may call a "nightmare."
-We might be having a "bleedthrough" moment from one of our other lives.
-We can be visited by our guides in the form of lights, human figures, animals, or something else, and offered useful information.
-We can be inspired with an idea, invention, composition, something creative or entrepreneurial.
A dream might simply be a way to acknowledge and then release whatever is ready to leave your life, emotions in particular. The vehicle of a dream is sometimes an easier to way to do this than a release in your daily life. Occasionally, these dreams are pieces of past/other lives that come up to be released or seen in this lifetime because we have currently progressed enough to face and go through whatever it is. When we release these things from our energy field, we can move forward again, minus the emotional ropes holding us back.
It's important to note how we feel and what we see during a dream for a complete interpretation. Even the smallest of details are important. Colors, sounds, smells, people, touch, and how we feel are important indicators of our personal journey.
Another thing to be aware of is, we will only remember that which we are vibrationally a match to in our consciousness. So no worries if you can't remember anything or as much as you want to from your dream life. You may not be not a match to it yet or you haven't really made an effort to do so. And just because you don't remember, doesn't mean the message was not received subconsciously.
It's important to recognize that because our dreamscapes are reflections of our physical and inner life - there are no untruths in our dreams. We can't lie to ourselves in our dreams. It's impossible. The only untruths are what we tell ourselves in our waking life. And while we may not be ready to face those truths yet, there is also no judgement in that, it just IS. When we are ready to see and know, we are ready, and not a minute before.
Since you are here, it seems are you ready to look deeper. Ready to move into a better understanding of your inner and outer life, brought to you courtesy of your dreams.
